I Will Carry You {Giveaway}

***Giveaway is now closed. Thanks to all that entered!!***

As I’m sitting here getting ready to start on my homework, I’m kind of stressing out. When I got home from my class last night I just wanted to cry. This class, Psychology 100, is going to be SO HARD. It probably wouldn’t be so bad if I was someone that could actually write, but the things I write are not college-level, in my opinion. And this class is going to require A LOT of writing. Next Tuesday alone I have a four-page paper, another assignment, an extra credit assignment {if I can actually get to it} and chapter reading due.

Stressed already.

But I know that one way or another I’m going to get through it. I have to. And I’ve been praying constantly even before last night, that I’d do well in my classes this quarter. I know that Jesus is going to be there right beside me, carrying me…helping me because this quarter I’m already feeling helpless.

At the beginning of my break from Spring quarter, I picked up Angie Smith’s book I Will Carry You. It’s in my Recommended Reads over there on the right. Have you heard of Angie? She’s the author of the blog Bring The Rain. She has a heart wrenching story about losing her daughter, but Jesus has pulled her through. She has her good days and bad days, but what a story. And through it all, even on her worst of worst days Jesus has been glorified in the midst of her pain.

I Will Carry You: The Sacred Dance of Grief and Joy

Her book really touched me and I wanted to share it will you. Right after I got done reading it, I went and bought two more copies. So today, I’m going to give them away to two of you.

  5. Megan, I would love to read this book. As a mom I know I would want to do whatever I had to do for my baby too. It was a sad and very touching story, her belief in God was always there. Her love as a mother touched me.

  6. I joined your blog a long time ago and love reading your posts:)

  7. Megan, Hope school will go well for you. I am sorry you are so stressed out. You are doing an awesome job.

  8. You’ll do just fine in school. Every paper is just an extension on the 5-paragraph essay form (google that). Use that structure for your papers and it will be easy. Getting the structure figured out is harder than the actual writing.

    The book sounds awesome! I’ll go check out her blog as it sounds interesting too.

  9. Wow.
    I know what it’s like to lose a child. It’s extremely hard just doing day to day things to get through the day.

  12. Well, I’d love to read this book. I don’t know if I would be able to get through it or not without breaking down, but it might make me a better person for facing some stuff about myself.

    🙂 Stopping by from SITS. Have a great day!

  13. Megan, I hope this counts. 🙂 I have already read this book but would love a copy to give to my pastor to read and have on hand to use in his ministry. What a wonderful resource (plan to keep my copy so that I can loan it out or give it away as God directs.) Praying for you!!!
