Thanksgiving

As we all know, tomorrow is Thanksgiving.

We all have something to be thankful for, right?

I am Thankful for:

Jesus. That we live in a country where we can love and worship Jesus openly. He is the great provider and protector and we see his work in our lives continually.

My hubby. My best friend. He is just so silly and makes me laugh (and roll my eyes) on a daily basis. I love him more than words could ever express. I’m lucky that he chose me to be his wife. I’m so proud of him and the things he’s accomplished and continues to accomplish.

My aminals. They bring happiness into my life when no one else can. And to think, Kyle spent five years trying to talk me into getting a dog. (he doesn’t let me forget it either.)

My parents. They’ve raised me to be the person I am today. They’ve loved me and protected and provided for me. Sometimes they made sacrifices, but they did it because that’s just how they are. I know it hasn’t always been easy, but they always have a smile on their face and continue to be the loving and supportive parents that I love more than anything.

My sister. We had a lot of rough years while growing up. We definitely did not always get along. Now that we’re adults, our relationship has blossomed into something special. I would do anything for her and I hope she realizes that.

All the rest of my family. They may make me crazy sometimes, but every time we get together, we’re making memories to remember for years to come.

My friends. Each and every one of them. They’ve all brought a special aspect of themselves into my life. I love every single one of them.

My job. In these uneasy and uncertain times, I’ve survived the layoffs going on in my company.

I’m thankful for the house I live in that provides a roof over my head and a safe place to just be.

The car I drive that allows me to get from place to place.

The food I’m able to buy to put meals ‘on the table’ (we don’t sit at the table ;0P ).

I’m sure there’s a bunch more I could list, but I’ll stop here.

I’m very blessed.

It’s this time of year and tomorrow, Thanksgiving Day, that I need to remember these things when life gets stressful and I just feel like sitting like a lump on a log moaning and groaning and ‘whoa-is-me’ing’ (I don’t think that’s a word, but it is now).

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Make it a memorable day.
